How to appoint a Deputy Sheriff

The sheriff in terms of the Act is within his right to apply for the appointment of a deputy sheriff in order to assist him to execute his duties. These are the following requirements in order for your application to be processed:

    • Form 14 must be completed and submitted
    • Payment of R 345.00 per deputy sheriff, and proof thereof must accompany the application form.
    • Two colour ID Photos must be submitted to our office
    • A Certified Copy of the employees ID

Once all the above have been complied with, the appointment letter is processed and a Sheriff ID Card is printed and issued. The original ID card is printed and posted along with the appointment letter.
